INTRODUCTION
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This mod adds three new archetypes. They are racial variations of the same archetype: The Smuggler

The Smuggler as an archetype is a Phex-child with wanderlust and some knowledge of the wilderness
The characters in this mod are Middenrealmian (Horasian), Tulamide (Mhanadistani) and Half-Elf (Middenrealmian)

These are true new archetypes, i.e. the Smuggler is called as such in the character-sheet and has his own starting quest. To accomplish this, 5 new dialogue-branches were added to existing NPCS (making use of existing dialogue-lines, thus with voice-out) Moreover, the script-conditions of 25 additional dialogues were modified, so that the game takes account of the new archetype.

The new archetypes are quarter-mages (or dabbler-mages) who have a potenial for magic, but never were properly trained at a mage academy. (e.g. due to a lack of talent, poverty, growing up very isolated, etc.). Their magic is restricted to 5 spells, and they cannot learn new spells.

The general characteristics of a dabbler apply to all archetypes:

- Only 5 spells available, can't learn new ones
- Astral points: (CO+IN+CH)/2 - 6
- Slower AE regeneration
- Cost to raise spells increased by +3 to the current spell-value
- Maximum spell-value = highest attribute

The smugglers are blessed by Phex: they carry a "Lucky Ducat" that grants a bonus to the defense value while equipped (left-hand instead of a shield). The ducat also can be used to work the miracle "divine Intervention".

The Lucky Ducat can only be used and equipped by the main character. It's upon the player to decide whether the divine intervention is actually a mastercraft-advantage, a divine blessing, or truly a lesser miracle.
(Out of technical reasons a character that can cast spells cannot become a Deont and work miracles as well.)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The new archetypes:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Other than other Phex-pleasing characters, these three archetypes start with Survival, Animal Lore and Crossbow (humans) or Bow (half elf)

INSTALLATION:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unpack the zip to any folder and start the installation by double clicking on "Install-English.bat"

Start a new game and choose one of the new archetypes...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DEINSTALLATION:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Start "Deinstall.bat".

After deinstalling, old savegames where a dabbler was played can no longer be loaded (Drakensang will crash)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
INFO:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Installation:
-------------
- When the addon Phileasson's Secret is installed, the mod will automatically installed for Main Game+Addon. The vanilla game without addon is still available, though, and when you want to mod the vanilla game, you need to rename "Install_English.bat" to "Installieren_AFDZ.bat".

- The mod shouldn't cause any problems with other mods or patches. The game data is organized as databases and those are properly accessed by this mod.

- The installation creates backups of static.db4 and local.db4 in the folder "TRoT\export\db" the names of those backups include the version of TRoT and a token to identify this mod (e.g. "static.db4.(1.1).schmuggler.bak") by deleting the current static.db4 and locale.db4 files and renaming the backups you can uninstall the mod as well. (Other mods that were installed after this one will be uninstalled as well!)

- Normally the installation can run from any folder. You just need to unpack the zip-file (Windows ZIP support in the explorer won't do, create a new folder and copy everything there)

- Should there be an error that the registry entry couldn't be found, then copy Install_English.bat and the folder "schmuggler" to your TRoT\export\db folder and try to install from there.

Side effects on the game:
----------------------------
- Spells like "Lightning find You!" that hadn't any requirements previously will now have Human Elf and Dwarf as requirements. This was neccessary to prevent dabbler mages from learning those spells.
